What is MOPS?
A MOPS group is an open, accepting place for all mothers of preschoolers to come just as they are to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope.
Mothers of infants through kindergarten age children and pregnant women are welcome to attend. Each meeting includes social time, practical lessons or guest speakers, group discussion and a creative activity. Enjoy your time with other ‘real’ moms while your children are cared for in the MOPPETS program.
MOPS GROUP STRUCTURE
While each group is different, the MOPS program builds on several principles:
Community: MOPS provides an open, caring and accepting atmosphere where women come together to share this season of life.
Mentoring: Mature women listen, encourage, and offer information and perspective gained through experience.
Practical Instruction: Teaching focuses on areas of common interest, offering inspiration and information relevant to the life of a mother.
Leadership Development: MOPS groups are organized and run by mothers of preschoolers for mothers of preschoolers. Women who are involved in MOPS gain confidence in their leadership skills through the training and experience they receive from MOPS.
